Bellator 257: Nemkov vs. Davis 2 | MMA Event | Tapology

Bellator 257 Results and Closing Odds – MMA Post Show: Bellator 257 took place on Friday, April 16th from the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut. The event featured a double main event from the quarter-finals of the Bellator Light Heavyweight Grand Prix.

The co-main event saw Corey Anderson pick up a third round, T/KO victory over Bellator newcomer Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov, cashing his ticket to the semi-finals of the Light Heavyweight tournament. For Corey Anderson it is just his third stoppage victory in his last 9 fights, dating back to 2017. He will now go on to face Ryan Bader in the semi-finals of the 205lbs grand prix.

The main event saw Bellator Light Heavyweight champion Vadim Nemkov defend his gold against Phil Davis, picking up the victory via unanimous decision. Nemkov improves to 6-0 in the Bellator cage, and with the score card victory over Phil Davis, it is just his second time going the distance in his Bellator career, with both times coming against Davis. Nemkov will now face the winner of next week’s Bellator 258 headliner between Yoel Romero and Anthony Johnson.

The betting favorite dominated the night, going 10-3 across 13 bouts, profiting for a marginal +0.39 units. The ‘Over’ improved to 24-13-1 on the year, after 8 of the 13 fights on the Bellator 257 card went ‘Over’ the betting total. A $100 bettor who has backed the ‘Over’ in every Bellator fight in 2021 has profited +$252
